Many people that wish to visit in Spain head straight on over to Madrid or Barcelona. Madrid is a busy, up to date city and is the capital of Spain. The weather in Madrid is predominately continental, usually dry and during the winter it rains frequently. Madrid is a great tourist attraction because it revolves around almost constant sunshine with rather hot temperatures occurring during the summer months. Winters run on the cool side. The rainy times occur during the winter and the spring and autumn. If you had to pick the very best times to come and enjoy Spain it would be during the months of April and May. Barcelona Weather
Barcelona is not to be out done by Madrid it too have beautiful climates and it’s an excellent draw for the tourists. Out of the many places in Spain that you may be interested in visiting, perhaps you should make a point of adding Barcelona to the list. It touts just as many cultural centers, excellent eaters, museums and great nightlife as Madrid.
This particular city has some of the most pleasant weather conditions that there are in Spain. The climate is not overly severe during the winter months, nor are the summer months excessively hot. Barcelona boast many beautiful sun shiny days for the most part and seems to get more of an even rainfall through out most months.
Just outside of Barcelona in the coastal areas they enjoy pleasant warm summers from June to September, which are usually the height of what’s considered the tourist season. Many of the city dwellers of Barcelona will find themselves retreating over to Girona which is known for very beautiful and comfortable summers. Nearby Tarragona has a considerable different type of summer being more at the opposite extreme of quite hot!
An ideal time of year for many people to visit Barcelona is right in the middle of winter, such as December. It’s not unheard of to be able to sit in their famous street side cafes enjoying a hot cup of coco and watching a beautiful sunset as you ponder the events of the day. Now that’s a relaxing vacation in a great city filled with fun activities.
There are absolutely no shortages of things to do while you’re in Barcelona. Check out the very popular museums, art galleries and wonderful theatres. The nightlife in Barcelona is in strong competition with Madrid. After a great night out you can enjoy relaxing at the Las Ramblas pedestrian area, where you will find many comfy restaurants and adorable outdoor cafes.
Shop along the street for flowers and nick-knacks at the small stalls. You will have a great time watching jugglers, dancer singer and live performance artists as you relax the day away. The neat thing about visiting another country is all the cultural differences and trying out tasting all the wonderful food.
Barcelona also offers any and every price range for great hotels to the really luxurious. You can have your choice of excellent accommodations to enjoy your vacation in a city filled with life! Madrid and Barcelona both offer just some amazing weather year round for the most part. Making it a hard decision of which city to visit if you have to decide. They are both great places culturally and the weather is the tops in both cities. If you get the chance to visit either one you should dive at it because you’re bound to have a great time!
